2026 — Year of the Human

I make no resolutions this year, just a commitment to my community — this year is about people. Real conversations, real connections, real care and personality. I believe all aspects of life should feel thoughtful and intentional — it’s time for the numbers-over-nurture mentality to get lost and make way for design and compassion to take center stage. Believe it or not, life is unexpected and messy. It’s repugnant that one could ever be fooled into thinking one size fits all situations. My mission is simple: put people first, lead with empathy, and never lose the human touch that makes everything worthwhile.

We make up the rules, and it doesn’t need to be like this. We can and will do better for one another.

Apple ☝️ One note

I found my favorite feature of macOS. It’s the ‘Colors’ preset wallpaper that shuffles through colors on each desktop every X minutes. This is wonderful. Thank you. Only note - from time to time, maybe the ‘theme’ of the colors will also rotate? Or better yet, the preset colors one can choose from could be edited by the user, so colors can be added and removed depending on desired vibe.

This is how it’s going.

Thanks Photo Memories Widget

About a year ago my grandmother died. I spent the hardest week of my life with the family cleaning out her house in Ohio. Recently, my phone threw a memory on the photo widget named “Fun in Ohio”.

◑ ◦ Although going through a family member’s belongings, trying to decide what to keep in our own homes or donate. Which ones to throw away altogether. ◦ ◒ ◦ Although cramming condolences and love into a week while processing this new reality with the people who knew her best, probably for the last time with this much dedication. ◦ ◐ ◦ Although the companies that said they would come take all of the furniture said that none of the furniture was good enough to take. ◦ ◓ ◦ Although every time you close your eyes, you see yourself driving the 347 miles with one stop to run around the car three times, and you know you have 4 more days until you get to do it again except in reverse, from your bed on your camping mat on the ground in the dining room.

Although all of that is hard ◦❂◦ doing it while all 5 of you have Covid makes it just. so. much. worse. Some of the precious moments from that memory.

What if we just tried again? What if we agreed, if you spread hate it’s okay for hate to find you. What if we genuinely wanted good for each other.

I just love him, ya know?

Too many house plants, I’m evolving. 🪿

“Hah, it’s funny we got the exact same thing” “of course we did, why wouldn’t we?” - 3 years on the dot. Let’s keep being our own landlords together forever <3

Todays take away: I put memories in folders, that have tags that are searchable. Pay attention to city infrastructure; so many hiding power lines. Forever searching for a parking spot has to be the short straw of afterlives.

I’ll cut your hair this weekend.

Lil’ Fuzzums

Spring is here, it’s such a fast transition but a much needed one.

I’ve been thinking about quilts and community lately.

Check in: I’ve been stopping projects half way through and hoping someone else will finish and clean them up.

Season 8 Love is Blind. I fall for it every time and spend the night yelling at the TV. I can’t tell any of the relationship apart and it’s wonderful. 📺

Well, I made it. 30 rotations around the sun 🌞
